Easy Valentine's Day Gifts that Cost Next to Nothing
Valentine's Day is coming up, but it's ok if you don't have of time or lots to spend. Check out our suggestions for easy Valentine's Day gifts on the blog!
Valentine's Day is coming up and if you, like many of us, are a procrastinator, there is still hope! Check out some of our inexpensive and easy Valentine's Day gifts that anyone from your significant other to gal pal would love to receive!
1. Personalized Playlist
The old mixtape may be outdated, but the sentiment behind it lives on. Create a personalized playlist for your special someone with songs that are meaningful to your relationship. Whether it's shared memories or just a classic mix of romantic songs, he or she will definitely appreciate the thought.
2. Handwritten Note
In the days of texting and email, getting a handwritten note or piece of mail is even more rare and meaningful. Take some time to share your thoughts or feelings about the other person on a funny card or piece of cool stationary.
3. Scavenger Hunt
Create a scavenger hunt with handwritten clues leading your valentine around your neighborhood or apartment. Take them to significant places in your relationship where you share certain memories; for example, your first date, or the scene where you had your first kiss.
4. Homemade Treats
Sure this may be basic but no one can resist a sweet treat! You can easily make cookies or cupcakes at home, and if you want to go a step further, purchase a heart-shaped cookie cutter or baking pan for only a few dollars. Not a pastry chef? That's ok, again it's the thought that counts!
5. Potted Plants
Roses are a given, try switching it up with a potted plant like a succulent! Instead of drying out and getting thrown out in a week, a potted plant will (hopefully) last longer, and it's something that you both can take care of and watch grow over time. Plus, they're usually less expensive than a dozen red roses.
